Reminder: Schools will dismiss students 3 hours early on Friday, Nov. 8. That day is also the last day of the 1st marking term. Report cards will be distributed Nov. 15.

Steady and regular attendance is key to success in school and in life for all ages!

Celebrating Native American Heritage Month for November --


Reminder: The schools and offices of Wicomico County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Election Day.


Pittsville celebrates Native American Heritage Month.
Speaking about his own success, Louie Gong said, "...success is made up of thousands and thousands of little failures."


Letter days for elementary students (including those at Pittsville Elementary and Middle) are posted before each week of classes during the school year. The schedule of letter days can be found on school web pages in Live Feed, on the school system's main website in Live Feed and the home page gallery, and on social media. The letter days schedule is provided in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.

Reminders for next week --
Nov. 5th -- Schools are closed for Election Day. Go Vote!
Nov. 8th - Early dismissal day for students so PEMS' dismissal will begin at 11:50 am. Nov. 8th is also the end of the 1st marking term.



November is Native American Heritage Month. Pittsville will be celebrating with information on impacts of those who created social change.


Reminder: Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. Please be sure to set your clocks back one hour for the switch back to Eastern Standard Time for the winter.
